It's fitted when warm and wet and it cures on you for some minutes. It's function is to lock you in position while the Radiotherapy Machine revolves around one's head. Despite how it looks, I didn't find it uncomfortable. It really freaks out some people who suffer from agrophobia or have a nervous disposition. Photo by: Nigel Andrews.
